AUO Corporation ("AUO" or the "Company") (TAIEX: 2409; NYSE: AUO) today announced its preliminary consolidated and unconsolidated April 2009 revenue of NT$24,359 million and NT$24,073 million, up 10.1% and 9.7% respectively from March 2009. In terms of Y-o-Y comparison, they were down by 42.6% and 42.8% respectively.

 

Large-sized panel(a) shipments for April 2009, with applications on desktop monitor, notebook PC, LCD TV and other applications, reached 6.86 million units, a 15.6% M-o-M increase. As to small- and -medium-sized panels, the shipments were close to 22.41 million units, representing a 16.2% sequential increase.

 

(a) Large size refers to panels that are 10 inches and above in diagonal measurement while small and medium size refers to those below 10 inches.
