AUO debuts Smart Cockpit 2025 to showcase an array of Micro LED Display HMI solutions, which revolutionalizes smart cockpit design and bringing revolutionary experience.

The Virtual Sky Canopy seamlessly integrates large-scale transparent Micro LED displays into the skyroof, bringing an immersive experience and extending the human-machine interface to the entire cockpit.

AUO introduces an intuitive human-machine engagement with human-centered design. Through the Morphing Center Control and Foldable Cruise Pilot, vehicle occupants can tailor the cockpit functions to meet their personal needs.

Morphing Center Control has a dynamically adjutable surface. When not in use, the Morphing Control Center displays information on the surface of the central console. When specific functions are activated, the buttons rise and provide tactile feedback, demonstrating a new way for human-machine interaction.

Foldable Cruise Pilot utlizes different display modes. In manual driving mode, the display is semi-folded and can show essential information, such as mileage and speed. In self-driving mode, the display can be fully unfolded to provide in-car entertainment functions.

The AUO Smart Cockpit 2025 is equipped with the Interactive Matrix Display, developed by Ennostar, in the front and back exterior of car, breaking away from traditional architecture design. By utilizing optimized light source integration technology, it delivers high-brightness and high-contrast display effects while incorporating features like personalization and information delivery.

Ennostar’s Interactive Matrix Display can display brand logos as well as  turn indicators clearly, increasing driving safety and convenience.

AUO In-vehicle Computing Solution enhances the human-machine engagement and enables innovative applications

AUO, with its solid foundation of Display HMI solutions, is accelerating the integration of display and human-machine interfaces to meet user needs, delivering highly integrated, interconnected computing solutions that will amplify the Smart Cockpit with a comprehensive range of services. Integrating its new In-vehicle Computing Solution into the Smart Cockpit 2025, AUO has unlocked the XR Interactive Window feature in the rear seat and Horizon Image Glass in the front. Meanwhile, it also can be introduced in commercial vehicles to provide more intelligent functions and services.

The XR Interactive Window utilizes AI-generated computing. In the future application, passengers can simply circle items displayed on the window to interact with them or obtain relevant information about objects outside the vehicle as they pass by. This immersive, interactive and realistic experience can also be extended to mixed reality games that showcase its powerful computing capacity.

In-vehicle Computing solution also synchronizes with the Horizon Image Glass to present the dashboard, center console and front passenger seat display features in an integrated panoramic view. In addition to a clear external vision, it provides real-time displays of vehicle status, navigation and road conditions, as well as value-added services such as personalized settings and safety alerts.

For needs of commercial vehicles, AUO also provides comprehensive vehicle computing solutions that connect dashboards, center consoles and smart side mirrors, which support fleet management systems, navigation and advanced intelligent driving assistance system(ADAS), and other solutions to facilitate vehicle safety and overall management.

AUO partnered with ADLINK to develop the suitable In-vehicle Computing Solutions for smart cockpit, providing the powerful computing capabilities to support innovative applications and services in car.

AUO Core Display technology combines with BHTC's world-leading capabilities of human-machine interface design to create Display HMI solutions

AUO and BHTC jointly exhibited at CES for the first time, combining core display technology with BHTC's powerful automotive HMI capabilities, utilizing unique interactive control designs to demonstrate Display HMI solutions that are close to the needs of passengers.

Haptifold Display integrates the center console and temperature control functions through BHTC's years of experiences in HMI design. Due to its curved surface and unique appearance, it provides drivers more intuitive experience with tactile feedback while also enhancing the interior design aesthetics.

BHTC's Display Behind Wood combines the seamless wooden surface with the display and can be integrated into the interior design of the car to provide high-quality driving visual effects. With its borderless design and brightness control, it enhances the quality of the in-vehicle experience.

AUO demonstrates a number of industry-leading green technologies to help customers achieve low-carbon goals

AUO is committed to sustainable development and develops low-carbon solutions at every stage of the product life cycle, including raw materials, manufacturing processes, and usage. At CES 2025, AUO showcased several green technologies that have been applied in consumer electronics products. AUO plans to introduce its expertise in green technology to the automotive industry, to help clients achieve their sustainability goal and meet green and low-carbon design requirements.

AUO utilizes innovative display technology HiRaso (Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Display, CHLCD with Bi-stable technology) to achieve zero energy consumption in their displays, expanding power-saving AmLED display technology to automotive products and applying post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics and panels produced with 100 Perecent Green electricity to notebooks and monitors, thereby increasing green value.

HiRaso CHLCD Display achieves zero power consumption when displaying images by utilizing reflecting ambient light to be more eco-friendly. The stronger the light, the better the color saturation and display effect can be presented. Meanwhile, it can work in extreme climate from -30 Celsius degrees to 85 Celsius degrees. With the advantage of wide operating temperature, it is the first choice for outdoor electronic signage.

AUO amplified  the succes of AmLED display technology, introducting into automotive products and successfully upgrading it. Compared with the previous generation, it can save 25% of energy consumption, while also being thinner and lighter.

AUO applied post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics in their display panel, supporting clients to develop monitor that use more than 85% recycled materials.

The world's first notebook computer adopted a panel produced by AUO with 100% green electricity. In addition to PCR, it also uses post-industrial recycled materials (PIR), such as recycled glass and metal, to reduce its impact on the environment.

AUO demonstrated its dedication to R&D and innovation at CES 2025. Combining its years of experience in the automotive industry and core display technology, AUO provides an array of Display HMI solutions for smart mobility and innovates cockpit design, supporting client’s success in the market. At the same time, AUO applied green technologies in different aspects, including the use of recycled materials, sustainable manufacturing, and green design to end products. AUO cooperates with the supply chain throughout the product life cycle to enhance add-value for clients, achieving low-carbon goals. Utilizing its expertise in display innovation and green technology, AUO is positioned to propel clients towards success.
