AUO announced organizational realignment and executive appointments effective July 1 as part of its continued transformation. Through enhanced organizational alignment and leadership development, AUO is fostering balanced growth across its strategic businesses, accelerating its evolution into a company that combines display technologies with integrated solutions, and reinforcing long-term growth momentum.

Building on 30 years of strengths in display technology, manufacturing, customer relationships, and ecosystem partnerships, AUO is advancing its growth strategy through three strategic business pillars: Display, Mobility Solutions, and Vertical Solutions. Embracing opportunities in the AI era, AUO has also established the Institute of Innovation & New Venture as the Group’s central platform for advanced research and innovation, connecting technology development, academia-industry collaboration, customer engagement, and supply chain resources to accelerate commercialization and bring new innovations to market.

To support its organizational realignment and transformation strategy, AUO announced the following executive appointments:

  • Display: James Chen has been appointed President of Display Business, overseeing R&D, business development, manufacturing, and supply chain management across AUO’s display and system solution businesses, while enhancing vertically integrated synergies and driving business growth.

  • Mobility Solutions: Simon Hsu has been appointed President of AUO Mobility Solutions. Leveraging three core technology domains: Display & HMI, In-Vehicle Computing, and Intelligent Connectivity, he will drive the development of innovative smart cockpit solutions, strengthen the company’s differentiated competitive advantages, and expand its value creation across the global automotive industry.

  • Vertical Solutions: Tina Wu, who assumed the role of President of AUO Display Plus in May 2025, continues to lead the expansion of AUO’s Vertical Solutions business, delivering comprehensive smart display solutions that integrate hardware, software, and services across retail, healthcare, education, enterprise, and other application markets.

  • Institute of Innovation & New Venture: Wei-Lun Liao has been appointed Head of the Institute of Innovation & New Venture. He will lead the Group’s long-term technology roadmap, advance Micro LED innovation, oversee dedicated teams focused on CPO optical communications, AR smart glasses, and LEO satellite communications, and integrate foundational research resources across AUO’s three strategic business pillars to accelerate technology commercialization and market adoption.

Through the balanced development of AUO's three strategic business pillars and the synergies generated across the organization, AUO continues to broaden market recognition of the company beyond its role as a display panel manufacturer and reinforce its position as a solutions-focused company built on display technology expertise. These efforts are expected to support sustainable profitability and further demonstrate the value created through AUO's transformation.

Paul Peng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AUO, said: "AUO’s transformation is built on 30 years of industry expertise and a steadfast commitment to value-driven innovation. As our strategic business pillars and innovation ventures continue to evolve, we are strengthening the company’s resilience through leadership alignment and resource integration. This new leadership team reflects AUO’s long-standing commitment to talent development and succession planning, while further strengthening our leadership pipeline and demonstrating the value of our organizational realignment. Together, these efforts provide a solid foundation for AUO’s long-term growth and sustainable success."
