AUO super narrow bezel display and maximum screen to body ratio

bring the boundless visual impact

In order to create the ultimate visual experience and meet consumer expectations on image quality and stylish outlook, narrow bezel has become a trend in display product design. AUO’s self-developed GOA (Gate on Array) technology integrates the gate driver IC into the array substrate. GOA technology significantly reduces the number of driver ICs to achieve super narrow bezel design, while expanding the field of view to its maximum under the same resolution. It also makes the product outlook compact and stylish GOA technology is adopted in bezel-less designs for AUO’s large-sized LCD TV panels and desktop monitor panels to provide the boundless visual impact.

AUO has achieved breakthroughs in sealant coating, glass substrate cutting and polarizer attaching during the manufacturing process. Through an effective integration of designs, AUO successfully produces black matrix less than 1mm in width, delivering the world’s highest screen-to-body ratio of near 100%. Eliminating the black bezels of a traditional TV and minimalizing its gap against the wall, the zero bezel display blends almost seamlessly into its surroundings.

Infinity screen design powered by seamless assembly of displays and advanced manufacturing process

For public information display solutions, AUO’s extreme narrow bezel display for video walls features the adjoining bezel width of just 1.8mm when the displays are assembled together, offering seemingly one whole image to the viewers.

For mobile device applications, the pursuit for borderless visual effects has made high screen-to-body ratio and full screen designs the dominant trend in the market. AUO’s advanced LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Silicon) technology not only delivers higher resolution but also reduces the amount of the space required for driver circuit for super narrow border designs in an effort to satisfy consumer expectations on image quality and appearance.
