In recognition of his leadership, Lee received the Outstanding Manager of Taiwan Award from the Taiwan government in 1987 and was honored with Premier Award for Outstanding Entrepreneur from Business Weekly Taiwan in 1994. He was voted as the Leading CEO in Taiwan by Business Next in 2000, the Technology Leader in Taiwan by Global Views in 2001, the Top 10 Entrepreneur in Taiwan by CommonWealth magazine in 2003, and the Most Admired Entrepreneur by CommonWealth magazine in 2005.

Lee received a Master of Business Administration Degree from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1990 and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1974.

In recognition of his skilled leadership, Chen received the Greatest Industry Contribution of Gold Panel Awards from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2001 . In 2000, Chen gathered the trade to found the Taiwan TFT LCD Association (TTLA) to urge the Taiwan TFT-LCD industry development and the growth. In 2004, Chen was honored with the Special Recognition Award offered by SID (Society for Information Display).

Chen holds his Bachelor's Degree in Communications Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan in 1975.

Starting 1 January 2009, Dr. LJ Chen assumes the position of President & CEO of AUO. Prior to his current position, Dr. L.J. Chen was President & COO in 2007 and Sr. VP & GM of Global Manufacturing in 2005. From 2000 to 2001, Chen was Director of Acer Display's Fab 1. After AUO was established, he became Associate VP heading LCD Fabs at AUO's Hsin-chu site.

By early 2003, he was in charge of Desktop Display business unit. Over his career span, Chen has successfully registered approximately 30 patents in Taiwan and 40 patents in the US.In 2008, Chen was honored with Outstanding Industry Contribution Awards at Gold Panel Display Awards Ceremony.

Chen received his Ph.D. Degree from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan in 1992 and Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tatung Institute of Technology in Taiwan in 1986.

Mr. Paul Peng was appointed Executive VP of Global Business Unit of AUO in 2008, overseeing TV Business Group and IT Display Business Group. Peng is also the GM of TV Business Group concurrently.

Peng was named General Manager of AUO's SuZhou module plant in 2002 where he successfully and efficiently set up the plant and had it running smoothly within a duration. Prior to joining AUO, Peng worked as Manager of material and production department at BenQ's Malaysia branch.

Peng holds an MBA Degree from Heriot-Watt University, U.K .

Mr. F.C. Hsiang was appointed Executive VP of Global Operation Unit in 2008. Before that, Hsiang was Sr. VP & GM of Global Supply Chain Management and Global Manufacturing of AUO in 2007. Hsiang was named Director of AUO's module plant in 2002. Prior to joining AUO, Hsiang worked at Acer Display and obtained hands-on experience in a vast array of different positions, such as Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Product R&D.

Hsiang obtained his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.

Mr. Michael Tsai is VP and was appointed to GM of Information Technology Business Group in 2008, covering Desktop Business Unit, Notebook PC Business Unit and General Display Business Unit. Tsai joined AUO in 1997 in charge of material management and procurement, and then promoted to Director of Suzhou module plant. In Suzhou he was responsible for material management for 3 years, where he successfully built up supply chain and foster vendors. In 2005 Mr. Tsai returned to Taiwan to take the post of Associate VP of procurement division, and was appointed to Senior Associated VP of IT Display Manufacturing in 2007.

Tsai graduated from National Cheng Kung University with a degree in Business Management.

Dr. C.T. Liu is currently Senior VP & GM of Consumer Product Display Business Group of AUO, leading Audio-Video Display and Mobile Device Display business units.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Liu was named Vice President & GM of Consumer Product Display Operation in 2007, and he was VP of the AUO Technology Center (ATC) from 2004 to 2006. Dr. Liu joined AUO in 2002 as Director of Research & Development Department. Priori to joining AUO, Liu worked at Bell Labs in the US from 1990 to 2002.

In recognition of his skilled leadership, Liu received R&D Management Innovation Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Liu holds a Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.

Dr. B.D. Liu is currently Vice President of AUO Technology Center (ATC).

In 2000, Liu joined Acer Display Technology, Inc., (the former of AUO, established in 1996) and was named Manager of Product R&D Division. After AUO was founded in 2001, Liu headed the G3.5 TFT-LCD fabrication and then was promoted to R&D Associate VP of consumer electronics display product.

Prior to joining AUO, Liu worked as Manager of Electronics Research & Service Organization at the Industrial Technology Research Institute from 1995 to 2000.

Liu received his Master Degree and Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1990 and 1994 respectively.

In 1974, Dr. Luo demonstrated the world's first working TFT-LCD panel at Westinghouse R&D Center in the United States, a significant historical breakthrough for the flat panel industry. Since returning to Taiwan in 1996, he has made significant contributions to the growth of Taiwan's TFT-LCD industries.

Dr. Luo joined Westinghouse in 1973 and later Xerox in 1979. In 1986 he was the manager of the TFT-LCD pilot line for GE. From 1990 to 1996, Dr. Luo was Vice President of R&D and Engineering, OIS in the United States. He served as Vice President, Technology Development, Unipac Optoelectronics from 1996 to 2001.

Dr. Luo received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cheng Kung University in 1966 and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1973.

Mr. Andy Yang is the current Chief Financial Officer of AUO. His past experiences included Credit Manager of Union Bank of California Taipei Branch in 1996 and Assistant Vice President of Corporate Banking of ABN AMRO Bank Taipei Branch in 1998. He possesses rich knowledge in global and cross-strait financial operations.

Mr. Yang joined AUO in 2002 and has been appointed to numerous important roles since then, including Senior Project Manager of Finance Division of AUO in Taiwan, Finance Director of AUO subsidiaries in China, Associate Vice President of Finance Center of AUO in Taiwan, member of Board of Supervisor of Darwin Precisions and General Manager of Apower Optronics Corp. He received his MBA degree from George Washington University in 1996 and BBA degree from Department of Finance of National Taiwan University in 1991.
